Good morning, World 🙂

I’m typing as quietly as I can, but my fingers sound like a mouse wearing wooden shoes. Every key is a CRASH BANG, and my husband and my baby are bound to awaken at any second, screaming “Jesus, are you firing a gun?”

Well, not really. But onwards.

Today, I will check out Medium.com. And by that I mean, I will actually make an account on there, pay my $5, and start cranking out articles. Medium will give me a good chance to develop my article voice as a writer, find out what I want to niche down and write about, and maybe even pay me some chump change in the process.

Here’s the part about medium that intrigues me the most. There’s a little clapping hand at the bottom of each article. You know, like the little star button the bottom of this post? (Feel free to press that, by the way… 😉 ) Anyway, everytime someone presses this clapping hand button, you get a few pennies thrown into your hat. The more claps you get, the more money you get. This sounds like a fairly straightforward system, and hey, if it gets me some money as I build my portfolio, then I’m all about this new adventure.
